Hiring professionals:

“Hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator! Also, don’t get hung up on a few dollars here or there – it’s pennies compared to your overall budget.” – Tiffany W.

“Don’t do it all on your own! I tried to DIY a lot of things and it ended up being more of a headache.” – Katy C.

“Let someone else (a day-of planner) make your timeline. Just show up and be present!” – Paige K.

On smart planning:

“Have someone film how to bustle your dress!” – Mikka J.

“Save all emails from all vendors (create a Wedding folder in your email). This saved me multiple times.” – Kaylyn A.

“Don’t forget lunch for your bridal party and family day-of!” – Jennifer M.

Other tips:

“Bring backup cute, comfortable shoes for outdoor photo sessions and the dance floor!” – Flora & Fauna

“Really make sure the photographer sticks to the list of photos you want taken.” – Roxanna M.

“Hydrate (with water) and proteins (not sugars) the morning of!” – Sydney L.

“Practice your first kiss! We knew we were going to be nervous, so it was nice to have it already practiced!” – Taylor L.

“I wish we had a better getting ready schedule. It caused us to be late to family pics!” – Katelyn M.

“Designate someone to keep track of valuables (rings, vows, etc.). I lost my vows right before the first look and wish I had picked someone to always know where the important items were. It would’ve saved me about 45 minutes. I found them right where they should’ve been!” – Catherine H.

“Do not DIY anything the week of.” – B.S.C.

“Have your coordinator save you both a piece of the cake!” – Astrid A.

Don’t forget:

“No matter how many times you hear it, enjoy your day! The day goes by so fast!” – Steph R.

“Enjoy the little moments and take time to embrace everything. It goes by so fast.” – Abby B.
