Darling Summertime Engagement Session from Angela Sostarich Photography

From Houston wedding photographer Angela Sostarich comes this darling summertime engagement session featuring lovebirds Bailey and Mitchell. Between the golden hour light, gorgeous oak trees dotting the Texas landscape and precious playful smiles from this cute couple, these beautiful photos couldn’t get much sweeter! Bailey and Mitchell met at the University of Texas in Austin, but wanted a more rustic setting for their engagement photos. Angela scouted out this perfect field and the two spent a summer evening together laughing in front of the camera. Read more below to find out how they crossed paths and the sneaky way Mitchell pulled off the perfect proposal! Cheers to this special couple!

How they met: “We met our Freshman year at the University of Texas! He was on the football team, and I was a cheerleader, so our paths crossed a lot between games and practices but we had very little free time to get to know each other. But the boy was persistent, and about a year later we started dating and and fell hard and fast for each other!”

How he proposed: “It was December 2017 and we had both had just graduated from UT. My sweet brother and sister-in-law offered to take us to a nice lunch at Manhattan’s in Lufkin, my hometown, as a graduation gift (all a ploy to get me into something nicer than leggings and a t-shirt. After lunch, Mitchell and I went to look at Christmas decorations when I received a call from my dad saying he was out fishing and accidentally dropped his truck keys in the river! So of course, we set off on the rescue mission to deliver spare keys. When we finally arrived at the river bank, we drove up to the sweetest little romantic proposal spot, all decked out with candles and champagne (no dad or abandoned truck in sight). Finally, my man got down on one knee and made me the happiest girl this side of the Neches!”
