This Bride Rocked The Perfect Pony In Her Engagement Session

When bride Danica wanted to look picture-perfect, she called Honey, Bee Lovely Beauty to get her all glammed up for this engagement session captured by Alicia Yarrish Photography in dreamy forest and garden settings! Danica and Garrett first met during junior year of high school and instantly knew they had a connection. One day, Garrett came into Danica’s after-school job with a friend. They joked, made small talk, and instantly clicked. The next day, Garrett came again, but this time by himself. He was sunburned and drained from giving swimming lessons at a nearby pool and kept accidentally falling asleep at the table waiting for his food, so Danica decided to break the ice by throwing a slice of jalapeño in his sandwich! It definitely woke him up and sparked a conversation! One thing led to another and they started dating just eleven days after they met. Both look back now and think how funny it is that it only took some jalapeño in a sandwich to start a conversation – but now they’re married! Danica and Garrett just said “I do” in April with a modern rustic wedding at Arrowhead Hill. We can’t wait to see their use of blush, champagne, and romantic dusty rose tones trimmed with greenery play out among other fun details like a dessert table with a cake, mini pastries by Alchemy Bake Lab, and big marquee letters to spell out their newly-shared last name. But out of all the wedding day details, Danica says there was one in particular that stuck out to her. “One of my favorite sentimental details about our wedding is that we decided to do our first look before the ceremony,” she said. “We are both cry babies and could not hold it together. It was very nice getting to share a special moment in private with my now husband!” They were married by Officially Oaks and partied on with the help of so many other amazing local vendors that made their dream wedding come to life! We can’t wait to see it for ourselves, but for now, we’ll obsess over their adorable Houston engagement session. Read on for a note from the photographer about the couple and their elegant engagement’s settings. Cheers to newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel!
