On how they met and became engaged: “The story of Edwin Alexander and Lillian Henny began in 2014 in Houston, Texas. Edwin was only few months out his Neuroscience graduate school, and Lillian was busy building her family law practice. As both were extroverts with large groups of friends, it was only a matter of time before their paths collided. One particular collision occurred took place at their favorite Downtown Houston rooftop, Bad News Bar. Add a few cocktails, high-spirited intellectual debates, love language confessions, an accidental sunset, equally “accidental” kiss, and there was no turning back.
For three months, Edwin began looking for the perfect diamond and knew that June 27, 2018, would be the perfect day. The proposal plan was to ask Lillian to schedule a double date the afternoon before they headed to Martha’s Vineyard for the 4th of July . That would ensure that she was prepped and ready for the proposal. The plan was to have drinks at their favorite local spot where they had their first kiss, Bad News Bar, downtown.
So just as Lillian began retelling her side of the story of the first date, the photographer walked off to give the couple some privacy. Moments later Edwin dropped to one knee and began. It was a private moment and Lillian cried from utter shock. It was amazing to capture the raw emotions! After 30 minutes to soak in the ring and emotional words, her family and friends arrived as a second surprise.”
