This serene, nature-filled fall engagement session captured by Courtney Tate Photography was the perfect choice for this Houston couple to prelude their outdoor matrimony to come! Kylie and Jason’s story officially began when they first met in college – Jason played baseball for UTSA and Kylie’s best friend was on the team, too. She went to almost every home game but never imagined she would one day be marrying Jason! Seven years later, the two had both graduated and were still single. When rodeo season rolled around in Houston, Jason extended an invitation to Kylie and the rest was history! He eventually proposed in an intimate moment at home with just the two of them and she said yes! Afterwards, Jason admitted he wasn’t sure just when the right moment would call for it but had a feeling come over him when he knew it felt right. Love is kind of funny that way!
Now the sweet pair is excitedly counting down until their upcoming May wedding date where they will be tying the knot on a beach in southern Key Largo. Soon-to-be bride Kylie is looking forward to finally debuting her gorgeous gown, but the two are also ecstatic about the fact that it will be a beach wedding. They are planning for a palette of dusty rose, soft blues, coral and greenery which we think will pair perfectly with their celebration’s seaside setting. Admire all their gorgeous fall engagement photos in the gallery below, and read on for a note from Kiley about the story of how she and Jason met. Cheers to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. Mohn!
From the soon-to-be bride: “Jason and I met officially my freshman year of college and Jason was a sophomore. Jason played baseball for UTSA and was teammates with one of my best friends. I would see him out and went to almost every home game to watch my best friend play. I never imagined I would be marrying this Mohn guy! Fast-forward 7 years later and we have both graduated from college, him from UTSA and me from Texas A&M University, and both were single! It was rodeo season in Houston and reached out to me and invited me to the rodeo… Of course, I said yes and the rest is history!”
