We can’t get enough of all the navy blues in Obed and Stephen’s modern rustic wedding at The Woodlands Country Club. The couple met online while Stephen was enjoying a family vacation in South Padre Island and Obed was only a couple of miles away in Brownsville, Texas. They talked long nights over Facetime and learned about each other before meeting for the first time in Brownsville in July 2020. After doing long-distance for nine months, things got much easier when Obed’s family moved to the Houston area. Finally, in July 2021, Obed and Stephen moved in together, and Stephen gave Obed the ultimate surprise. Stephen proposed with a watch instead of a ring and eventually got one to match himself. The two love looking down at their matching watches with their new favorite accessories- their wedding bands.
The navy blue accents give Obed and Stephen’s rustic wedding an elegant charm. The couple knew The Woodlands Country Club was their perfect venue after their first meeting. The gorgeous venue space that offered stunning golf course views created an elegant and unforgettable reception space for the two. In addition, the venue offers an outdoor ceremony space where Obed and Stephen said their “I dos.” Stephen’s favorite moment of the day was seeing his handsome groom Obed walk down the aisle in tears with his sister. How sweet is that! Following the ceremony, the couple and guests proceeded inside for the reception. Inside, EB Inc. Event Rentals provided elegant decor, while Double Oak Events brought the lighting and entertainment.
