A Piece of Houston History, Reimagined
Before becoming one of Houston’s most recognizable destinations for food, culture, and events, POST Houston was home to the historic Barbara Jordan Post Office.
Originally established as a depot in the 1930s, the property later became a major hub for Houston’s postal operations. After closing in 2015, the building was thoughtfully transformed into the destination we know today, preserving elements of its industrial past while introducing striking architectural features, restaurants, entertainment, and breathtaking rooftop spaces.
The result? A wedding venue with a story to tell, where historic character meets modern Houston in the coolest way.

Meet the Penthouse: POST Houston’s Newest Event Space
One of the most exciting additions to POST Houston is its Penthouse, a stunning rooftop event space perched above the building’s iconic Z Atrium. Offering approximately 7,500 square feet of event space and accommodating up to 300 guests for seated dining, the Penthouse features beautiful views overlooking POST’s rooftop park, a dedicated catering kitchen, private restrooms, and a versatile open layout perfect for bringing any wedding vision to life.
We actually had the pleasure of hosting our 2026 Wed Society | Houston Book of Weddings Issue Release in this incredible space! From statement florals and rich linens to custom installations and interactive guest experiences, the Penthouse provided the perfect blank canvas for our creative team. With plenty of room for unique design moments and an inviting atmosphere, it was so fun seeing just how much this space has to offer!
