Her Rock Through It All

We started talking about getting married 6 months prior to me being diagnosed with a debilitating hip condition that left me using a walker and eventually I was wheelchair-bound. We kept delaying the conversation in hopes that by the time he proposed and we got married, I would be able to walk down the aisle. As I had more and more surgeries and setbacks over two years, we decided we didn’t want to wait anymore and he proposed to me on a beautiful day in the park with friends and promised that he’d work with me every day on getting the strength to walk without assistance on our wedding day. He helped me after all my physical therapy appointments, and supported me through all my surgeries, my condition eventually improved, and on our wedding day, I was finally able to walk down the aisle to him on my own. He was my rock through it all and I’m so happy we said ‘I do’ last April!
