A Bright Houston Engagement Session So Full of Joy and Natural Light

“Bright,” “radiant” and “ecstatic to get married” are just some of the ways in which Hayden Jordan Photography described these two lovebirds, and you can obviously see why in this sweet Houston engagement session! Ryan and Kenzie first met in seventh grade when a group of kids from their youth group met up to go see a movie. Kenzie was sitting next to a friend on one side and had an open seat on the other when Ryan came and sat next to her, asking for her phone number before the movie even started! So bold, but we love his confidence! The pair ended up talking throughout the movie and afterwards were friends for about two years before going on their first date during their freshman year of high school! Now, they are finally tying the knot in May of 2021 in a ceremony Kenzie says is characterized by an elegant champagne and cream palette featuring lots and lots of greenery – however, the wedding’s stunning design is hardly what she’s most excited for about the big day. “Our goal when planning our wedding was that it would be representative of us, and our biggest priority, besides getting married, is being surrounded by people we love,” Kenzie says. “In terms of physical details our venue itself, Arrowhead Hill, is so so beautiful and the land it’s on is incredible. We are so excited to get to spend the day there… I am so excited to see everything come together and above all else am so ecstatic to get to spend my life with Ryan!” Nothing is sweeter than knowing without a shadow of a doubt you found the one for you, and this couple’s sweet Houston engagement session says just that! Read on to hear from the bride about how he popped the question. Cheers to Kenzie and Ryan!

From the bride: “Ryan had one of my best friends reach out to me a couple of weeks before he was planning on proposing and ask to take our pictures because she was trying to get back into photography. At first I was pretty suspicious, but she started to take some people’s graduation pictures so I was pretty convinced. She took us to this beautiful spot in the town we both grew up in where he got down on one knee saying he wanted to choose me for the rest of our days and then asked me to spend my life with him! It truly was the easiest yes ever! After that we got to celebrate with our families and the next day with our best friends! They were moments and memories I will treasure forever.”
