This Cute + Casual Engagement Shoot is SO Full of Joy

There is nothing we love more than a cute, casual engagement shoot that is as light and breezy as can be. Expertly captured by Patti Darby Photography, Laura and Lawson’s pictures are all that and then some! We love the couple’s inclusion of their furry friend in this shoot as well. According to Laura, Lawson popped the question on Lady Bird Lake in Austin. Her friends had convinced her that they were going on a walk to a fun dinner picnic, but Laura was shocked to find that Lawson was actually at the end of the trail—down on one knee! Read on to hear the darling story of how they met!

From Laura: “Lawson and I met because we both worked at the same ministry summer camp, TBarM, at the beginning of college. We hadn’t met yet, but we had some mutual friends. After he DM’d me asking about camp, we ran into each other at a music festival in College Station. This is where he worked up the boldness to ask me on a date the first time we met! We went to Outback Steakhouse that following Wednesday, and the rest was history! I quickly fell in love with his heart for the Lord and his desire to follow Christ above all else.”

Laura and Lawson’s May wedding will also include a rustic vineyard theme, as well as, shades of blush and champagne. In addition to seeing her wedding dreams come to life, Laura is most excited to have such a large wedding party! With 15 bridesmaids and 15 groomsmen, this wedding is sure to be the life of the party. Cheers to Laura and Lawson!
