This sweet couple is starting their journey to “I do” with a modern downtown Houston engagement session captured by the talented Natalie Nicole Photo that totally tugs at our heartstrings and it’s one that’s been a long time coming, too! Mayra Salazar and Jesus Mendoza first met in high school, and the two were friends from their senior year until they finally started dating four years after high school graduation. Mayra says Jesus was always so nice to her, so eventually falling in love just came naturally to the pair. When the time felt right to pop the question, Jesus took Mayra out for brunch at her favorite spot to get macarons and was acting very nervous. Because of this, and picking out her ring prior to that day, she says she knew what was coming! She, of course, said yes! Since the soon-to-be bride didn’t want a big surprise proposal, she says it was “very casual and us.” Mayra and Jesus will be tying the knot before the end of 2023 with just close friends and family present and we can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this precious couple or their wedding to come after this modern downtown Houston engagement session.
