in a stylish parkside and rooftop engagement session captured by Taryn Lynn Photography in this gallery that gives us all the warm and fuzzy feels! Artful shots atop a garage in downtown Houston later turned into a dreamy stroll through the scenic Eleanor Tinsley Park, where Lauren and Mario never ran out of smiles or chemistry. The two first met in 2016 working at a summer camp where the relationship only amounted to friends. A year later, Mario sent Lauren a birthday card in the mail out of the blue, which sparked conversation between the pair again. He asked her out on a date shortly after, and four years down the road they have since tied the knot in a May wedding at Madera Estates! The new Mr. and Mrs. Lechuga celebrated with a lovely ceremony and reception to follow in light blue, gold and creamy neutrals. Leading up to the affair, the newlyweds were most excited for their first look, as well as the mariachi band that would be present during cocktail hour and dinner, as well as a DJ for their dancefloor. We can’t wait to see all the wedding day details but until then, find us swooning over the flawless photos from their romantic park and rooftop engagement session. Plus, read on for a note from the soon-to-be bride Lauren about how Mario popped the question. Cheers to the Lechugas!

From now-bride Lauren on how he asked: “I thought we were meeting some friends at a bar on a Friday evening. Mario picked me up and we wound up on the Rice University campus ‘to do some exploring.’ He proposed there and neither of us remember what we said!”
